Summer!

The summer is here! The weather has been really nice and warm!
Rudi is at a pig-field day today, teaching children about pigs!
Tomorrow we have a wedding to go to, so that will be fun. And other than that things are pretty normal. Rudi's just working like normal. And I'm just doing mommy things!
Tys is doing very good. I weighed him on Monday, he then weighed 14lbs 5 oz. So he's growing well.

This is Logan, he is doing really well, he's already gaining weight, and drinking a lot! He looks super good. He's got super long eye lashes! So cute...

We just heard that Justin and Siska had a baby boy!
We don't even know his name yet!
As soon as we know more details, we'll let you know, and hopefully some pictures of the little boy!

Our trip to Moscow, Washington and Canada!

We had such a good time on our trip!

We left Friday afternoon at about 1 pm for Moscow, to see Dirk, Molly and Arie! We got there around 7 pm. Molly made delicious pizza and dessert, that was very good! And we were so happy to see our nephew Arie, he is so cute! He is getting very big. He is always happy and loves attention! And he also loves to eat! He thought Tys was very interesting, and he just wanted to grab Tys' hand and put it in his mouth, it was really funny! After dinner we visited and later on we started a movie, but we got kind of tired, so then we decided to go to bed. We had a good night sleep (even Tys slept great in his little travel bed!). The next morning Molly made a very nice breakfast! We had to leave around 8, to make it in time for the wedding. So we had a nice morning together and then we left for Bellingham, Washington! It was very good to see Dirk, Molly and Arie, we had a great time!

The drive to Bellingham went very well, Tys loves to ride, so that's no problem at all! We had to stop to feed him once. That worked out really good. We arrived in Bellingham at our hotel around 4:15 pm. So we had some time to feed Tys and to get ready for Jordan and Stacey's wedding. It started at 5. It was a wonderful wedding! A beautiful bride and a very proud groom!
the reception was also really fun, but Tys was getting a little tired and I don't think he liked the loud music, so we didn't stay too long and left at 9pm to go back to our hotel for the night. We had a good night sleep there.

The next morning we sat in the spa at the hotel. It was Tys' first time in the spa, and he loved it! then we went to church together with Jesse and Amy (brother and sister-in-law of the groom) and the groom's parents, mr. and mrs. Van Werven. The church was in Lynden. Lynden is kind of a Dutch town. So after church the Van Wervens wanted to show us some things in Lynden. It was really fun! We went to a Dutch shopping mall, where we also ate lunch. We even bought some Dutch goodies there! (hagelslag and drop!) Then we went on a beautiful walk. It was so much fun! We had a great time.

Later that day we headed to Canada, we went to White Rock, right over the border. It was a very fun little town right by the ocean, with lots of fun little shops, ice cream, coffee and souvenirs. It was really cool to be in Canada. We only stayed for about three hours and then we left to go towards home. We had to go trough customs of course. The line of cars to go to the US was very long, we were in it for about an hour and a half! But we had fun anyways and the weather was beautiful. So we took some pictures, went to the bathroom and shopped at the duty-free shop! (I got some great perfume for a great price :)) We drove as far south as we could and spent the night in a hotel in Southside, WA. It was a very nice hotel. We sat in the spa at that hotel too! But not Tys, because this spa was a little hot.. so he just sat in his bouncy seat, while we were in the spa! He's such a good baby and he almost never cried the whole trip. A couple of times he was kind of upset, I think because of traveling and I think he was a little out of his routine. But he did great and he also slept good at night. So we're very happy about that.

So, we had a great trip! And while we were in Canada we got a phone call from Anne's mom. Anyke had a baby.. scroll down to see the pictures and more details!

He weighs 9 pounds, that's about 9.9lbs!

Tys' first roadtrip

We're going on a roadtrip...
We'll leave tomorrow morning to go to Moscow, where Dirk, Molly and Arie live! We've never even seen the house they live in, so it's about time we go there!
Then we have to drop off the calves that we brought at the Kimmel's house (Katie's family, Katie is Cory's wife)
On saturday we're going to head to Lynden, Washington to go to a wedding. And then we don't know what we're going to do yet, it all depends on when Siska (Rudi's sister) has her baby! She's due on the 10th, but it could be any day now! Also Anne's sister, Anyke, is going to have a baby any day, she's already over due! She was due on the first! So it's very exciting..!
We might go to Canada!
