We've been blessed with a new baby!

It's a beautiful little boy.

He was born on Sunday, June 28th at 6.45 pm @ the Birthing Center after a very short labor. We arrived at the birthing center at 5 pm. Less than two hours later we could hold our new son, Nieko.

He weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and measured 20 inches.

He is doing very good! And so are his parents.

Well, we are still waiting for the baby.. Thankfully I still feel good. We're getting anxious to meet our new family member though. We're just trying to stay busy and do lots of fun things. Today we had a breakfast from our church. It was a lot of fun and the food was so good! After that we checked out some yardsales and Rudi wanted to buy some flowers for our garden.
Other than that our shed is all the way done! The first color we chose turned out to be a little bright (almost pink....) So they had to re-paint the whole thing.. oops. It turned out beautiful though. We're very happy with it!

40 weeks... and waiting...

Hi!

I just went to the doctor yesterday. Everything was really good and I'm already 3 cm dilated!!!
So if I don't go into labor by next week Thursday, I'm going to be induced (July 2nd).
We really hope and pray that I'll go into labor naturally ofcourse...

Her name is; Moriah Adriana

Born @ 12.02 pm
She weighs 8 lbs 6 oz and is 21 inches tall.

A very happy Tys!

This was taken a week ago...

Logan in his new rocking chair (from uncle Cory and aunt Katie, she painted it in a fireman theme, really cute). This was the day of his birthday party. It was such a fun party! Logan got lots of cool presents. He turned 1 on the 14th of June!


I'm doing good, my next ob/gyn appointment is on Wednesday, the day that I'm due!
We'll keep you posted...

Miriam is due TODAY!

However, nothing has started yet, as far as we know...
It's pretty exciting though.. We can't wait to meet Gideon's new brother or sister!

Logan is turning 1 tomorrow, and today is his birthday party, so we'll be going there later on today! I'm sure it will be a lot of fun!

Our Fishing trip to Hells Canyon!

We left Friday morning for our Fishing trip to Hells Canyon.
Justin and Siska also came and we left our boys (Tys & Logan) with their Pake & Beppe. (Rudi's parents)

We had such a great time, the weather was good. We had some rain while we were fishing, but that was ok, because the fish were biting really good! I was just glad that it wasn't too hot!
So we fished for a couple of hours on Friday, but didn't catch much that day. There was thunder and lightning that night, and it was kind of humid, so we didn't sleep very well.. but oh well.

Saturday we got up early to go fish again, we fished pretty much all day and caught lots of fish, mostly bass. I caught one fish myself too....!
We also caught 5 big sturgeons, that was a lot of fun! The biggest one was 5ft10!!!

The place we stayed at served great meals, and the rooms were simple and small but nice. The beds were not the most comfy, but we slept way better the second night. We really enjoyed just being away for a couple of days and spend some time together. We did miss Tys, but we also were busy fishing and had a lot of fun!

On Sunday we fished a little bit more and then we headed back home. Around 8 PM we got home and got to see our sweet Tys again! It was so fun to see him and he was happy to see us too! Pake en Beppe said that the boys behaved really well and they had a lot of fun together!

Now we're back to normal life, Rudi stays very busy, there's a lot of jobs he wants to get done before the baby comes, and I feel like I have a ton of things to do as well before the new baby!
We had a check up yesterday, and everything went well, except for that my group B strep test came back positive. That means that I need antibiotics as soon as I get to the birthing center, and we also have to stay 24 hours in stead of 8 hours after the baby is born... which is actually fine with me! We're very excited and can't wait to meet the newest addition!

But it's Miriam's turn first! She is due this coming Saturday!

There was lots of beer and wine! and the food was excellent!

Rudi was very excited every time he caught a fish, he had so much fun! He's getting really good at it and fishing is now one of his favorite new hobbies!

Another addition!

No, it's not another Emu...
And no, the baby is not here yet either...

They're building us a beautiful barn!
it's right next to our house, and we will be using it for storage.
Our house is filled with lots of baby stuff, like strollers, bouncy seats etc.. And now there's boxes of clothes that Tys has outgrown.. and lots of other stuff. Right now all that stuff is stored in our spare room. It will be so nice to move it all into the little barn! The barn also has a big loft.
We're very excited!

I'm 37 weeks along now, so the baby can officially be called full term! I still feel good, but I do get tired a lot faster... I'm trying to take it easy, but at the same time I feel like there's still a lot of things to do before the new baby comes!

Tomorrow morning early Rudi and me, together with Justin and siska are going on a fishing trip for the weekend! We'll be gone until Sunday. And Tys' pake & beppe (Rudi's parents) will take care of Tys and Logan while we're gone. Also Miriam and Gideon are going to help. Miriam is getting real close to her due date (the 13th!).

We're very excited to get away for a few days! Rudi has been very busy lately with everything on the dairy, so he deserves a break as well.

I'm a little nervous about leaving Tys, of course I know he's in good hands. It's just that I haven't left him for that long ever!
