double stroller

This is a picture of our "new" (read: used) double stroller! We bought it from craigslist. The stroller comes with two bassinets AND two seats! The seats can be facing forward or backwards. The brand is "firstwheels" and comes originally from Holland! We are so happy with this stroller, we've used it a lot already!

This one is from Nieko, it was taken about a week ago... He's doing really good. He's growing well. the last time I weighed him, he was 10lbs 12oz, that was Saturday. He still fits into his Newborn clothes, but they're getting really snug on him... so almost time to box them up... moving on to the next size already!
He's smiling a lot more, and making more cute little sounds when I talk to him! I love that! Tys is really Rudi's buddy now, they hang out all the time. Rudi (and I think most guys) likes it a little better when babies are a little older and start "doing" more. Of course he loves little Nieko a lot!


Well, my oldest sister, Margriet, is due to have her baby any day now! baby number 4 for my family in Holland this year. And for us it's niece/nephew number 5 (for just 2009)!!! And I have one other pregnant sister, Anyke, she's due in October!

Nieko was baptized on Sunday!
He was wearing the same gown his dad and brother wore for their baptism.

After he was baptized he sat by Rudi and slept through the rest of the service... so sweet!

Tys' first haircut!

Tys had his first haircut today!
We've been thinking about giving him one for a long time now. There were just so many people giving compliments on his cute, curly hair. And it seemed that every time we wanted to cut it, someone would tell us how much they liked his hair!
But, it was just getting too long. It was hanging in his eyes. And every time I tried to do it with gel, it just didn't turn out cute anymore...
So here are the "before & after" pics... Let us know what you think... I'm sure some of you liked his longer hair way better... sorry!

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that his dad gave him his first haircut! I think he did a great job!

I thought I'd share these cute pictures with you! Tys now likes to point out Nieko's nose, eyes, ears, belly and give him kisses as you can see in the pictures!

Nieko is already 5 weeks! I can't believe how fast it's going. He's growing very good. Today he weighed 9lbs 15oz! That means he grew 3lbs since he was born!
He's also starting to smile and make cute little noises, as you can hear on this little video. He is just such a sweet baby. I still only get up once at night to feed him and change him.

Tys is doing good as well. On Friday him and all his cousins (and their mommy's) went to a water park in Meridian. It was so much fun. The boys just loved all the little fountains and other water"toys"!

We had a very nice relaxing weekend. We got a lot of errands done on Saturday! And even made it back home in time for Rudi to breed the cows! Sunday was a nice, relaxing day. After church we all went to Cory and Katie's house. That was a lot of fun. After that we went home and Rudi worked for a little bit. And the rest of the day we just relaxed.

The weather has been really hot here. The last couple of days were around 100F!
