fall pictures

On Saturday we went on a train ride, a special pumpkin-train. Our friends had extra tickets and invited us to come along. The train left from horseshoe bend. It was a beautiful ride. The train stopped at a pumpkin patch, where we picked out pumpkins. It was so much fun and very relaxing. Tys had a great time on the train.

Finally another update!

I know it's been a while since I updated our blog! But our internet has not been working that good lately. It seems to working fine tonight!
Well, Rudi got me a brand new sewing machine as an early Christmas present! I've been sewing at Siska's house ever since Tys was born, and I really started liking it. Siska taught me very well, and we're still going to have "sewing-days" at her house. That's always a lot of fun, sometimes a little too much fun, then we don't get a lot done and drink tea in stead...! :)

We took the boys to a playground on Tuesday-morning, they had a great time! Gideon was the best at climbing! Do you see him climbing up on the red ladder? And Logan was so happy and loved to go down the slide! They sure have fun playing all together. What a blessing!

Nieko now weighs 13 and a half lbs. He starting sucking his two fingers, so cute! He's just a sweet baby!

Harvest... everybody has been busy chopping. Rudi keeps mostly busy with the cows, but he was in the truck for just a little bit as well. He took Tys with him in the truck and Tys was so happy, he had a blast!

another new niece; Rixt

We have a beautiful new niece.
Born today, October 7th.
Her name is Rixt and she weighed 3520 grams.

some exciting news....

Hi,

Before I forget, I have some exciting news... we're going to have another niece or nephew! Siska (Rudi's sister) and Justin are expecting a baby. She's due April 14th, 2010. A little brother or sister for Logan. We're so excited for them!

My sister, Anyke, is due any day now..

We are doing really good. We had a fun weekend. We went to Ann Morrison park in Boise, early Saturday morning for the Women's Fitness Celebration. Together with Siska and Logan, we handed out milk to all the people that walked (or ran) the marathon. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful sunny day. Tys and Nieko came along as well. We spent the rest of the day in Boise. Then we were invited to Rudi's parents (new) home to have dinner. Rudi's parents went on vacation and brought presents back for all of us. Well, the exciting part is, is that we had frikandellen and kroketten for dinner (These are my favorite Dutch snacks!) Yum!!! It was delicious.

On Sunday we went to church and after church I dropped of Rudi at the airport, because he was flying to Madison, Wisconsin, to be at World Dairy Expo. He had a great time there and spent time with our friends, Michael and Carrie and their kids, Madison and Noah, from Florida! Rudi came home today, I just went and picked him up from the airport.

Well, the cold weather is finally here. On Monday we had a warm day, 90F!!! And today the high is 58F! So that's a big change... It feels super cold, plus it's windy too.

Dirk (Rudi's brother) and his wife, Molly and their two sons, Arie and Ioan, got here on Sunday night. They're staying with Cory (Rudi's other brother) and Katie. Ioan is one month younger than Nieko and they're about the same weight!

Nieko turned three months on Monday, he weighed 12lbs 14oz. (Tys weighed that much when he was 2 months!) He's doing really good. He's still my sweet baby!

It seems like Tys is learning a lot these days. He's really starting to communicate a lot and he understands everything I say to him (in Dutch that is). He doesn't talk yet, but he knows a lot. He's getting to be such a big boy! He just changed from diaper size 4 to 5.. I got all his winter clothes out and thankfully they seem about the right size...

Well, that's about all the news I've got!
