On Saturday the 14th we left for our vacation.
We went on a cruise with Rudi's parents and Justin, Siska and Logan and Peter, Miriam, Gideon and Moriah.
We had to leave super early, our flight left at 6.30 AM. We had two super short lay-overs. And we got to West Palm Beach, FL around 6 PM. Where Peter picked us up to bring us to Fort Lauderdale. We spent the night there and went to a huge Calvary Chapel. On Sunday afternoon we made our way to the cruise ship. The ship left at 5 PM.
Monday we were at sea all day, and we explored the ship.
On Tuesday we were at Jamaica! Where we rented a van and driver, Lennie.
Lennie showed us part of the Island. We shopped at a market, where there was a lot of ladies, and they each had their own little "shop". It was very interesting. They all wanted you to come look at their treasures. And after 5 minutes they all knew your name. We bought some souvenirs there.
Then we went to see a beautiful waterfall. And Lennie showed us the rainforest. He drove trough different neighbourhoods as well, that was very interesting to see.
On Wednesday we were at Grand Cayman Island, which was beautiful! We did not have very much time however, but we did the best we could. We shopped a little bit, and then drove to "Cemetery beach". It was a gorgeous beach! This was my favorite part of the whole trip. Miriam and me got to snorkel, while our men and Pake en beppe watched the kids for us. That was absolutely fabulous! I've never seen such beautiful fish! It was awesome. There were so many of them, you could touch them if you wanted to.
Then, on Thursday we were at sea all day again. We enjoyed swimming in the pools and relaxing in the spa. On Friday the cruise was over. We were back at Fort Lauderdale. Peter and Miriam and their kids left for Idaho, and Rudi's parents left for Missouri to see uncle Wiebe (Rudi's mom's brother). Justin, Siska and Logan and the four of us enjoyed Fort Lauderdale beach for a couple of hours. Tys and Logan had so much fun playing in the sand!
After that we had to drive 5 hours to see our friends, Michael and Carrie, and their kids, Madison and Noah. We stayed with them the whole weekend, which was a lot of fun! I had not met Noah at all yet, and he turned a year about a week ago! And Madison had gotten so big! She's two and a half now. Tys had fun playing with them and all their toys. Madison just LOVED Nieko, it was so cute! She was very sweet to him.
Well, on Monday we made our way back home. We had a very short lay-over in Atlanta, and our flight was about a half hour late, so I ran to the gate, and the door was already closed, but thankfully they still let us on the plane. We got to Boise at around 6 PM. The bous did extremely well on the flights! On the way to Florida, pake and beppe took care of Tys the whole way! On the way back home, Tys sat by Rudi the entire time. He slept for 3 and a half hours on a 4 hour flight, that was very nice!
We had a wonderful time, and we're glad to be home safe!
We wish everyone a happy thanksgiving!

Every night at dinner we had Moriah and Nieko in the stroller, and they almost always slept through it all!
The family with the ship in the background. Justin and Siska are not in this picture, I think they were a little ahead of us...
