Summer is here!

Hi!

I can't believe how fast the time goes by!
It's already the middle of May.
The due date is just getting closer and closer and this pregnancy seems to be flying by..

We're all doing really well. Rudi is just working hard as always. He's getting super-tan! I like it... He doesn't have my help on the dairy as much anymore, since I'm getting kind of big and just taking it easy. I still help him with the easy jobs, like running a gate or sometimes just hanging out for fun!

Tys is doing great, except for that he has molars coming in and that's no fun. But he's pretty good about it. He usually gets a really bad diaper rash, which really hurts him.. poor guy! I feel bad when that happens. He's getting closer to walking, he'll do three or four steps now, but he's kind of scared it seems like, so then he'll go back to crawling.

I'm doing great, my belly is growing good. We just had a check up at the doctor yesterday and got to hear the baby's heart again. I'm measuring a little big, same as when I was pregnant with Tys. I'm trying to take it easy, because I definitely feel a little sore after a busy day... :(

We're working on rearranging our yard a little bit. We're going to get a storage-shed and they just poured the concreed for that last week, it's beautiful. Rudi got rid of all the gras, since it had a lot of dead spots and wasn't in that good condition. We're planning on making a patio out of brick and planting new grass. We're also going to get a fence. We're very excited and can't wait till it's all done!

Most people say that Tys looks like a De Winkle, which is true... he does!

Tys' FIRST Birthday!!!

We celebrated Tys' 1st birthday today!

We already had a birthday party on Saturday (we also celebrated Rudi's 28 birthday, his birthday was the 19th). But today was his real birthday!

So this morning he had bread with Nutella, he LOVES that!
For lunch we had spaghetti which he also loves.... as you can see in the pictures...

After his afternoon nap we went to go swimming, because he seems to enjoy that as well. It was a lot of fun. And now it's time for bed for Tys!

It was a fun birthday and he got really spoiled! He also got sooo many presents!

His shirt reads; Hieper de piep HOERA! Ik ben 1 jaar!

hieper de piep Hoera is something we sing or say on somebody's birthday, and "ik ben 1 jaar" means; I am 1 year.

But I think it's about time for a girl...


Other than that, we had a birthday party for Rudi and Tys, yesterday.
I'll have to post some pictures. It was a lot of fun and Tys got very spoiled!!!
His real birthday is Tuesday!

A new nephew - Jan Teake!!

My brother and his wife welcomed their second baby boy today!
He was born at 10.30 am (NL time) by C-section.
He weighed 10lbs 8oz (!)

His name is

Jan Teake!

Mom and baby are doing well.
Daddy and big brother Jesse are also doing well!

Tys and Logan!

The weather has been so nice here! Today it got to be almost 60 degrees! So I decided to take Tys and Logan for a walk on the dairy in the wagon!
As soon as I put them in they seemed to be sooo excited! They thought the wagon was totally cool! And then when I took them outside, they seemed so happy! It was really cute to see! They both had the biggest smiles on their faces!
When Tys smiles, Logan starts smiling too, and the other way around. It's really funny. They get along so well!
They saw all the animals on the dairy, the cows, pigs, chickens, calves and the dogs! And they also saw the little tractor, that was really cool! They had so much fun. After the walk they both went down for a nap at the same time! They've been sleeping for an hour now....!
