The surprise!

This is when I came home from a bridal shower and I found my mom and sister sitting in our home! That is 2 weeks ago now. I thought it would be fun to share this little video.

A fun week!

We took my mom and sister to the airport this morning.
We had such a great week, we did lots of fun things!
It was also nice having their help around the house and with the kids, what a treat!
They did so many things for me, and I'm so glad and thankful that they came.
I have a bunch of pictures, but it would only let me upload 5 of them. I'll try to upload some more later.

Tys had such a great time with his beppe and tante! He loves them. They were just so much entertainment for him, he loved all the attention he got! I'm sure he'll miss them a lot!

They went to the beauty college for a pedicure. They loved it!

Anyke giving Nieko a bath. He loved it. And Anyke got to practice for her new baby, she's due the beginning of October. Her son Dirk just turned one on June 8.


Well, that's it for now. We also went to the rodeo on Wednesday night, they really enjoyed that! I'll upload some of those pictures later too!

A BIG SURPRISE!!!

I went to a bridal shower on Friday. We got home really late, way later than we thought. When I came home I noticed that Rudi had cleaned up the house and done some laundry, and I thought that was very nice. Rudi was still up and waiting in the living room for me. I walked in the living room and he held a camera in his hand, and so I told him not to take pictures of me, because I looked tired. Then I looked around the corner and I saw my mom and my sister sitting on our couch! And it took me a minute to realize that it was really them! They were here! At my house!!! I just could not believe it!!! I was soooo surprised! Unbelievable!

They're staying for a week. I really had a hard time after I had the baby, because I missed my family a lot! Anyke's (my sister) mother-in-law told my mother and sister that they should go see me, and so she helped paying for the tickets!

So, yesterday we went to the farmers market and to costco and we pretty much shopped the whole day! They love shopping here, because everything is so cheap!

We're getting a fence!

After our beautiful little barn is finished, they're now working on building us a fence, so that Tys can play outside as much as he wants!

We're also going to make a little patio area, made out of brick and the rest is going to be grass.
We're very excited and hope it will be done soon, because Tys just loves being outside so much, but right now it's hard because there is no fence, and so it's not safe at all.

I thought this was a sweet picture.

Yesterday Nieko weighed 7lbs 9oz, which was Tys' birth weight.

Our 4th of July

Nieko is already 10 days old!
I weighed him yesterday, and he was 7lbs. 7oz. (his birthweight was 6lbs 14oz).
He really is a very good baby, rarely cries. Last night I only had to feed him once! He slept from 10 pm till 5 am, I fed him and then he slept till 8 am! Normally I feed him twice at night, which isn't bad either. He's a good baby!

Well, we went to the 4th of July parade in Melba. I carried Nieko in a wrap, so he was close up against me. Tys really enjoyed watching the parade, especially the horses!
We had a good time.

Tys said his first word today; BABY!
He loves his brother. He wants to give him hugs and kisses and pet his little head all the time.
He's adjusting very well to his new brother.

Nieko is doing very good. He doesn't cry much, only when he's hungry or when his tummy is upset. He already gained weight, so that is really good.
